Sorry for the MIA status lately. Steven and I have been busy loving on our sweet family and friends t he past two weeks! It has been so refreshing, just what we needed after moving almost two months ago.
First, all of these guys came for a visit. Steven’s step-dad, sister, and her boyfriend were our first Oregon visitors and we had a blast exploring together. Some highlights…
Enjoying downtown Portland and the live music.
Enjoying happy hour together.
I introduced everyone to our “donut Saturday” tradition. You know the apple fritter is good if it’s as big as the plate.
All that sugar and carbs prepared us for our hike to…
Multnomah Falls! It’s one of the most famous sites in Oregon.
The view from the bottom was breathtaking, but we had to hike up to the bridge too to catch a glimpse.
I can’t wait to go back and do the full hike all the way up to the top!
After a weekend of indulging and imbibing, this was such a glorious place to find myself first thing Monday morning. Spin class is one of my favorite things ever.
Then I got to watch Steven’s intramural basketball game at the Nike gym. It’s so much fun to watch him play!
Thursday, we took it to the skies and headed back down south, home to GA for our sweet friends Matt and Rachel’s wedding!
Bride, bridesmaids, and flower girl before the rehearsal! The weather was absolutely perfect. They could not have asked for a more perfect May weekend in Georgia!
You know, just getting the party started with my favorite friends!
There are no words to tell you how much I love these people. There were lots of tears, not a lot of words. It was good for the soul to see them and laugh with them again. Ok, moving on, since if I keep thinking about it I’ll probably start tearing up again…
I definitely had the most handsome date there 🙂
The new Mr. & Mrs. Hendricks! We had such an amazing time back home. Now, it’s back to work, the gym, and…SLEEP!
Heading home for the first time since moving away, that was hard. It was a hard one, friends. My heart is full from all the fun we had, but it’s definitely the hardest thing in the world to leave your favorite people behind. I can’t wait to start planning my next trip home!
